Pictures/reviews of exhaust on the GT

I am looking at purchasing a full system. After seeing the images on some vendor sites, I am concerned with fitment on the GT+
I contacted [email protected] as they have full systems listed for the GT. They said that they have not tested with the panniers installed and cannot say that their exhausts will fit. They have a few that look like they would work. I may go with the header and mid pipe, keeping the stock muffler. This may be too loud for me though.
Wish the testing would have been done with the panniers or if the vendors would use the stock location of the muffler. I do not have my bags from Suzuki yet...

Anyone have any pictures of their GT with aftermarket exhaust/panniers? I have seen the Moore Mafia video with the Brock's exhaust. Way out of my price range.

Thanks in advance.

Thank you for the pictures and response. I would be a little worried about the exhaust pointing at the pannier over time. I think a muffler with a turn down tip may help with that.
It would appear that the two exhausts in the first post would not fit with the panniers installed. Looking at your picture with the bags installed vs the pics above. It looks like the stock location or shorter will be the only way to go. Thoughts?
I never use the panniers but I got a good deal to have them included. I’ve done a couple of long journeys with them and no trouble at all there’s plenty of space between the exhaust and pannier. I got the bike to blast around on and be comfy more than a tourer so it sounds a bit better and looks better I think.
Paul Hutchings with Lextek is soon to release a complete system. He has been riding around with it on his bike with the bags. Their system will have a resonator with several slip ons to choose from. He's a major contributor on the Facebook page. This is his bike

are the selling just the slip on now ?
Lextek has quite a few. I’m waiting for the system. I wish someone else had a similar set up to compare. Brock’s is just stupid money.

thank you I am just being ignorant because I do not see one listed for the Gen 2 model
You are right, I believe you have to use their link pipe. On the GT, a slip on does no good. The cat does so much of the muffling, a slip on is a waste of money.

you are right but / and on my previous GSXS I went too far. She sounded amazing and loads of power but it got moved too far in the rev range and I ended up not enjoying the bike on day to day rides. I sold her and basically started over while hoping to have learned a bit of something.
Again you are not completely wrong 👍
I've done the same thing with cars. You put the wrong cam in and it becomes nothing but a drag race car that's only good in the upper rev range. Too many of us fall prey to thinking replacing everything will make it better. Picking up the midrange without losing top end is the thing to have on the street. The aftermarket thrives on guys thinking they have what they need often to find it ruins what was enjoyable.
FYI, I got kicked out of that page (along three or four other members) because we "liked" a fair response to a comment that apparently was offensive to other members (which I still think it was not). So, beware of what you post, what you like or dislike. Nazi police there.

I don't do Facebook so I won't ever have that problem over there.

Dang, so childish like car forums of the past. Social media and the internet make keyboard rambos out of so many spineless humans.
Now that the GT has been out for a while... anyone have some pics to share of their GT with an aftermarket exhaust?
I’m thinking about this system:

I am looking at the HP8 low black version of this exhaust. Very tempted to order it. It does appear to be very loud though.
