AKA 'The German one' arrived this morning from Whitelights (through their eBay shop)

Looks pretty good and the reflector / LED number plate light that I had made for my last bike fits!

Just waiting for my smaller plate to arrive and I'll get on with fitting it all on the bike.

OK, progress stalled a little due to lack of time to devote to it and I didn't like the way reflector / number plate light looked so it needed a redesign. I had the plate light machined down to be much smaller and fitted a new reflector. I also drilled a hole for the cables to replicate the path of the originals and made a plate to go between the tail tidy and the tail to close up any holes that would have been left.

Is the boxy thing a replacement tail light or the reflector?
It's a replacement number plate light and reflector. Originally the height and width was constrained by the reflector I used. The depth needed to be enough so the white LEDs recessed in to the underside are effective.

I had the height reduced to 19mm to suit the new tail tidy, the width and depth needed to remain the same because of the LEDs.

I couldn't find a reflector to fit the new size, so I have inlaid some automotive reflective tape (the stuff used on the back of wagon trailers). Although the MoT manual says reflective tape shouldn't be used, it is e approved for road use so I'm hoping that it will be OK.

Which material did you use?
1mm polycarbonate sheet cut to size then sprayed matt black from a rattle can. It's almost entirely hidden (goes between the tail and the tail tidy) and doesn't need to take any abuse, so the finish will be durable enough.

I'm interested :)
Are you interested in making them for others?
I'll pay upfront

It's not good enough to pay for!

I should still have the template so I'll see if I can make one for you in the next couple of weeks.
Waauuww...great
