One of the most popular and best-selling helmets of all times that revolutionized the industry, the Shoei RF-1200 was introduced to the market back in 2014. It was and remains so good that the company didn’t have to make any changes. But today, we would like to introduce its updated and slightly redesigned version, the RF-1400 model. The shell aerodynamics was improved reducing drag and lift.

After years of research and development, and taking all the feedback and complaints into account the RF-1400 helmet received several improvements compared to the previous model. It comes with a larger pinlock insert and offers better ventilation with a more convenient opening and closing vent mechanism at the top. The helmet is now DOT and Snell rated offering better side impact protection.

Loved my rf1100 helmets...then I bought an RF1200...loved that too...then I heard about the RF1400...was about to buy one...then I watched, read several reviews ....impossible to attach a Sena unit to the side...the rf1200 was already difficult but the added piece that they put in the rf1400 stops you from doing that...I called Shoei about it...there answer..."we have addressed the problem by making a bracket to attach to your helmet for a communication device that you can buy starting sometime in May 2021....lol...no thanks...purchases two new RF1200 helmets instead at big discounts....Shoei...you screwed up!
Oh and best part...when talking to the customer rep in California I said all my friends wear communication devices...you guys should have thought about that when designing a new helmet..seems pretty elementary too me...he says...and aI kid you not..."I don't know a single person that wears a communication device"> Lol good one!

What will you do with it?
We will forward it to the manufacturer's representative so that they know they still have work to do.
