So while I'm impatiently waiting for the bike to be released in Aus, I thought I'd find out a bit more info from all the lucky owners so far...

How tall is everyone and how do you find that you fit on the bike?

I'm 186cm (6'1"ish) and find that my legs don't fit in the tank cut outs on some of the naked bikes. That, or, my legs are cramped.

Cheers,
Marty

bike is nice to ride did a 2 hour ride today without any real pains

im bout 6'

seating position is upright and no pressure for me on my wrists

foot pegs are nice and my legs fit into the fuel tank notches just fine

seat seams to slope a little forwards and helps you stay on the bike when you twist the throttle :)

ive just come from riding a vfr800 (sports cruiser) and i find this bike more comfortable then the vfr

That's good to hear. There's always after market seats if I decide I'm not a fan of the forward slope for longer distance rides.

I'll be coming from a Triumph Daytona 675, so I'm hoping it'll be a big improvement in comfort...and power >:D haha

6" 1' and 80kg the bike fits me fine, reach to the bars is just right, seat comfy ( compared to Tuono v4 ) with slight forward angle, knees tuck into the tank fine and footpegs just right for me ( ride with balls of feet on pegs). Hope this helps.

Thanks Lee, sounds like you're a similar size to me. My legs didn't quite fit in the tank cut-outs on the Tuono, not that I have the money to be buying a Tuono anyway haha

Hmmm, seems like a theme here... I'm 6'1" and found my knees wouldn't fit in the tank cut-outs on the Z1000.

The GSX-S is as comfortable as I could expect really. Leg position is good with balls of feet on pegs. There is a little pressure on my palms but not a huge amount and the seat is pretty good.

I rode 200 miles yesterday and only had slight discomfort in my hands and a little pressure on the inside of my thighs from the seat width.

Thanks for the info everyone.

I think I'd definitely be going for a gel seat, especially when I start doing longer trips on it.

I can't wait to just sit on one at least! I am 6'5" and hoping the naked and I will be a good match! The Z1000 feels fairly comfortable, but I am very ready for the Suz's to show up in Oregon so I can try one on for size!

Finally, so happy to be short, lol. 5'7" and I just melt into this bike. Still haven't ridden one, only sat on them. They've just started to show up here in the States. No F models yet. Dammit.

Pride for short guys! >:D
I'm about 172 cm and I can say that the conformation of this bike is perfect for me in all its parts. I have no problem with the wind and the relative helmet turbolence at about 140 / 160 Km/h. I don't know how, but the little front of my bike protect well my head. If I have to be honest....my shortness give to me a big help
I'm also very happy about the distance between the seat and the terrain because all my whole foot is posed. Condition that I have not found with the Z1000...

I qualify for the "shortie" club as well - 5'7" / 172cm and 28" / 71cm inside leg, this bike is perfect for me.

Short 5 foot 7 try 5foot 4 and it fits me tip toe I have to say both sides but I am going to get a new seat cut to lower it a bit more without have to put lowering links on the shock and then cut the stand to much work plus it would upset the handling
