Sargent seat development for GT

Yesterday I got an email from the Sargent Seat Co representative saying that they will manufacture both front and passenger seats for our GT's! They're even considering making a passenger backrest if sufficient interest is shown.
They've asked customers to reach out to them, with improvement ideas and comments so the finished product will be exactly what we need.

I've had both sargent and corbin seats on various bikes over the years. I have found them both very comfortable, if you like a firm seat. I purchased a corbin for my GT and have found it to be better than the stock. The pillion seat on the Corbin, according to my girl is far and away better than the stock. She found the stock pillion intolerable after 30 minutes. The corbin is a one peice seat.
Can you post a pic of the Corbin on your bike? Cheers
Haven't done a full day of riding yet on the new seat, only 1 two hour stint, but I am really happy with it so far. My girl is way more comfortable with the corbin, the stock seat was intolerable for her. Just ordered a backrest from corbin to match. Hepco and Becker Rear minirack.

It’s my understanding that they need the bike to develop the seat pan and how their newly designed seat integrates with the bike. You can send your seat to to them for custom foam but won’t be the same end result. I‘ll wait it out. I counted and and this will be my 6th Sargent. My butt loves just loves them :giggle:
Thought i would let guys know, i also spoke with Mary at Sargent and gave them lots of input. They do have the seat pans and are waiting for someone to bring them a bike to use for sitting on and measuring etc. They hope to have us some seats by this summer. I am first on the list!

Just got an email from Mary at Sargent and they have the seats built as we speak. They need to have someone lone them their bike for fittment. In doing so you will receive a free seat and some other swag. They want the loaner bike to come from the surrounding area , which is in Forida. Hope someone can help please.
I emailed Mary on Feb 16, never heard back from her, so I called Friday. Spoke to someone in Sales, and when I asked to be put on a list or give a deposit, was told to call back in August.........Gee, my money must not be any good, I give Corbin a call next week and see if my money works over there
They have a member from the FB page who has his bike there now.

Guess their engineering and sales are in 2 different locations....LOL

I bit the bullet and ordered a set of the Voigt offset risers last night. I see you have them listed in your mods. Did you use their brakehose extension they recommend? Any issues I should be on the look out for? TIA
I didnt have to do anything, juat figured out how to install them and was good to go.

Thanks, I bought a set off the internet but the center to center holes would not match up after I removed the bars on mine.
I remember just having to start the bolts in partially, then wiggling it to get the others in. It was a very tight, perfect fit.

I read in a couple other forums that the hose extension wasn't necessary, but I didn't want to risk it, so I got it. Peace of mind, if you will. Very easy installation. No issues whatsoever.

Ive ordered both the seat and the minirack, does the corbin backrest fit with the minirack on at the same time?
Just got back from the Smokies, the seat was a good 6-8 hour seat for me. The back rest and minirack are a good fit. There is some, maybe 2 inch, front to back adjustment on the minirack.
