I think I got hit with the nostalgia stick this morning and decided to check which ex bikes of mine were still on the road. There is a government site where you just punch in the reg number and it comes up with the road tax and MOT (test status) of the vehicle.

I only have info going back to 1997 but there were many more before that.
Honda CB500 1997.
Yam TDM850 2001
Yam TDM900 2004
Honda CBF1000 2006 (I wrote this one off) :rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:
Suzuki Bandit 1250 2007
BMW F800ST 2009
Suzuki B-King 2011
Suzuki GSR750 2014
Pleased to say all these bikes are still on the road, or at least taxed and tested, except the one I wrote off. One has an expired MOT but is still taxed.
I should add that all were bought new except for the B-King which was 6months old with 1000 mls on it.

Clearly you don't get it. Elected vs. born. Replaced every 4 years vs. forever. 20% VAT with a that **** going on would just piss me off.

I get it. Class vs no class, lol I think most sane persons would MUCH rather for the Liz than the orange moron. Besides, considering what governments waste across the board, the money spent on the Queen is peanuts. Want to raise your blood pressure, have a look at what security detail for Trumpf's family costs; you (some) voted for him, not for his entire family, and yet you pay for all of them. Constitutional monarchy is a system of government and it works very well, and has for centuries. In fact, it's much more democratic than the so-called (US) republican system (which is not only quite undemocratic, but run by money and special interests). Suck it up... Dude :)

Most be nice to pay all that tax so the queen can have her castles.
Hey Dude, hands off our Queenie she is the last of a breed that has dignity, decorum, manners etc. something sadly missing in other states persons. Oh and also other posters on this forum.
No more political orientated posts folks please, or I shall have to call the forum police.:(

Here's a different twist on the bikes owned. If you add up all the miles that you rode in your life, how many miles / kilometre's do you guesstimate it to be ?
I am somewhere around 500, 000+ km. (think of all those tyre cases piled up as a scrap mountain !).

On the bikes listed in my first post I've done about 156500ml (251860km)
Currently at 26700ml (42970km) on the GSX-s. No idea about my previous 40 years it's lost in the mists of time.

Did they also mention what said weddings brought in in terms of tourism dollars and (positive) international visibility? While I am hardly the biggest fan of royalty, it is (in the British Commonwealth anyhow) the basis for many a stable and effective constitutional monarchy (including mine, Canada). Back to the UK-specific component, the royal family is a tremendous drawing card for tourism. I would be curious to see if it's a net cost or source of revenue for the country. All that aside, the asinine and disrespectful comments which instigated this tangent show that ignorance and stupidity are alive and well in our world.

Guy's, Political posting's goes on to prove Our Forum's invisible Moderator Chicago AJ is rather very very absent nowadays.
I would have deleted them for obvious reason's that they do not enhance this Thread in any way. :|

I'd love to be able to look up my old bikes and see if they're still in use. Sadly I doubt they will be. Especially the RG & RGV.
