So suddently I keep getting this reddish colored dust all over my left boot and the lower left side of my bike. Even covers the rear wheel. The front wheel doesn't get any of it. I replaced the stock front brake pads (plus they suck and were squeeking).

But the redish colored dust (powder) i still an issue

What the F?

Mysterious problem. I'm curious as to what it could be. Let us know when you find out.

brown/reddish dust is normal. Some brake pads are just dusty. squeaking could be caused by not having lube on the pad contact patch, where the piston hits the pad. I wouldn't worry about it.

Just weird how it took like 5000 miles before any dust appeared. And its only on my left boot and left side of the bike. Huh.

Someone thought maybe it was my red fairings rubbing on something and the dust is paint powder. Dont think so.

Ive logged over 100,000 miles on my VFR800 and never seen this before.

Whatever...Ill just keep cleaning it - lol
