Yes seems to be common noise on this model. Wasn’t on my 2016 naked model. So Suzuki changed something and I’m thinking cam chain tensioner design.
Hi Thanks for the reply Im Taking the bike in to get looked at on Friday lets hope they don't say its nothing to worry about and its just because its been sitting on its side stand and needs time for the oil to get round.Yes seems to be common noise on this model. Ones with a combustion engine probably. The motorcycle division of Suzuki is only 6% of their business model.I don't know how true this is but I heard that suzuki are going to stop making motorcycles?
Anyone else heard this rumor?
Haven't heard that, but they did pull out of racing a few months back.I don't know how true this is but I heard that suzuki are going to stop making motorcycles?

That would explain the very apathetic response I got when calling them to inquire about why I still don't have my bike. A company planning for their future would probably be more concerned about keeping customers happy.I don't know how true this is but I heard that suzuki are going to stop making motorcycles?

truth be told, ive never considered suzuki to be the best in any aspect, I just like the way they look and the performance and reliability has been fine for me. thats why I stick with them, if I wanted better, I do think the competitors may have the upper edge. as far as im aware, suzuki is the smallest of all the companies, so they have the smallest bank for R/D compared to other companies.^ you never become the best by copying someone else.
Mines a naked 21 model, 9k miles. Always rattley on start up, then quiet. My friends got a 20 model, his seens quieter than mineHi all I have a gsx s 1000 gt just done 1 300 miles I had run the bike in according to the manual but when I start it up I'm getting a tapping sound from the engine has any one else had this as it happens when its hot or cold .
I think moto Gp is getting boring there's to many rules plus somthing doesn't add up?suzuki is not quitting making motorcycles.
but personally I think motogp stuff is a waste, I wouldn't put money into sponsorships/teams/bikes/racers. too much $$. let the other companies do it, then buy their bike and jack their R&D Lol thats what id do. reverse engineer everything, tweak it a little bit and boom. Suzukified.
idk. but I dont find motogp entertaining, I wouldn't put a team in it, because I think most people now a days dont care about sports in general or racing, its dying off entirely (spectatorship) in us for motogp is nothing like it is in other countries.I think moto Gp is getting boring there's to many rules plus somthing doesn't add up?
I've been thinking for a long time there's somthing wrong?
Hi my bike is the same as your friend it sometime makes a noise on start up even when at normal temperature its bad for a new bike to do this maybe i should have kept my fjr1300Mines a naked 21 model, 9k miles. Pants? Who can afford pants LOL?Well I know who we can all thank for the current economic disaster stateside. He’s been in Washington 40+ years same old bullshit spewed out of his mouth daily. From the little sad ass state of Delaware lol. Grab your pants it’s about to get worse here. You won’t be able to afford rent, light bill, gas or food just around the corner. They’ll send you a stimulus check for all that…just keep voting for them.
Well that's interesting... Did the noise fit the description in this thread exactly? Our accounts all seem to be very consistent.A friend of me also did get the noice, after 700 miles it get realy bad. The suzuki dealer did try new cam chain tensoiners but the sound stays. After a search with te factory the conclusion was it has to be the crankshaft bearings. He is getting a brand new bike now.
