I’m at 2k on my GT+ and I tend to agree that it’s probably not a problem and yes, mine has it. Two points to consider:
1. This is essentially a K5 motor with different cams, and tensioner. Suzuki would have tested a number of these engines (this generation) during development and they of course they heard it.
2. Suzuki will not do anything about it because of point #1. (The engineers in Japan probably shrugged their shoulders).
I would bet huge $$$$ that nothing is wrong and it’s just the way this cam / valve train sounds. The desmodromic valve train in my Panigale motor is very loud at idle.
