I really want to buy this bike but Suzuki won't have models in the US until July.😡
Good review, thanks for that.

Ha Ha yes, but I must admit I do it myself quite often when riding.:D
I liked this review mainly because of the blokes attitude.
Some of the other YuTube reviews have been conducted by cringeworthy characters who were embarrassing to watch.:(
Well done to the Scottish laddie.
The French magazine "Motomag" placed the S1000 against the Z1000, CB1000R and the BWM S1000R.
It got a first place (value vs price).
Some highlights: It praises the driving comfort, surprised by the loud exhaust (100db), laments that some parts next to the feet already lost parts of their paint...
Praise about the many functions on the dashboard but regrets the little place in which they are located.
Got rated as having the best lighting part up front (best visible)
In a matrix full of ratings, our S1000 gets the highest on the engine part (Z1000 2nd), 1st place cycle (shared with BMW), 2nd on safety (Honda 1st), shared 1st place on budget

As negative points, they mention the need to pull the brakes quite hard before they react and the overall style being nice but not that new/special.

Hey Tom welcome to the site! Would you happen to have a link to the comparison itself?

Hello Ginger, the quotes come from the printed edition. I looked on their site but this article is unfortunately not readable online.
great write up in bike magazine august edition
pitched against the s1000r, tuono 1100 and the z1000 holds its own and wins in some cases :D
There is also a review in "Fast Bike" mag.
The mutts nuts

Just had to write this about my GSX-S AL6.
Had quite a few bikes over the years but nothing like this machine. This bike I gotta tell ya, which i've owned since june this year is without doubt one of the best i have ridden in years. For one, have you ever ridden a bike that can turn so quickly, growl at you every time you open her up, doesn't stop pulling in any gear or revs and stops within seconds without any drama what so ever and to top it all slice through the heaviest of traffic with no effort. Silky smooth gearbox and wheelies at will>:D [with traction control switched off of course], this bike has turned me into a teenager again, i'm 59 in august lol and that's why i love this riding postion, so comfortable What a superb machine Suzuki, even my Grandson love's it on the back for a Sunday blast! Thats it, just had to get that of my chest. Seriously though i would recommend anyone to take one of these out for a test ride, i knew within 2 mins i was going to buy it. P.S. Just parked it next to a 600 Bandit and it made mine look small:D
