Hello all!

I just traded my 2011 Triumph Speed Triple in for a GSX-S1000ABS--Black/Red. Had 54000 wonderful miles on Speedy but I worn the poor thing out and it was not quite up to my pace. I was leaning towards the BMW S1000R because I am a S1000XR owner and love the motor. However, after reading all of the remarkable attributes the GSX-S has to offer it became the clear choice.

Picked it up today at about 1PM Eastern. Rush home to de-sticker it and make some controls adjustments. And went for a short ride followed by a quick picture session before I start the MOD MADNESS!!!

Bike has 165 miles on the clock. I have a 300 mile ride planned for tomorrow.

I already scheduled the break-in service for next Saturday when they will install the Yoshi and heated grips.

Since I am adhering to the manufacturers recommended break-in procedures I have not discovered seizure inducing engine performance that I have watched on the many YouTube videos I have enjoyed. Well, I might have snuck passed 6000rpm getting on the highway one time and HOLY PHUCK those video bloggers were not lying!!!

I am an extremely active rider and will share all of the wonderful stories and picture as I go. I will shut up now and post some!!!!

:)Welcome Aboard:)
I used to live on Merritt Island, just over the Banana river.
How's my old home town doing?
It's all growing slowly--space shuttle being retired notwithstanding. They have added a brand new cruise terminal at the port right next to Grills where the boat launch used to be and are continuing to makes other upgrades the port. More tourist--more local money. My hope is Port Canaveral will become the destination for all new motorcycle manufacturers and I will get first pick of all the great bikes coming in!!!! Ha ha haaaaa!!!!

Cool Great to know the old place isn't stagnating. If you do draw some of the bike manufacturers down, let us know. I might have to think about re waxing my surfboard moving back:laugh:
