Found this on Suzuki UK site.

Thanks for posting this Dekker, the new S1000 is sexy and powerful!! Godamn i want one lol, i know there are more powerful bikes out there, but unless one plans on racing then there is no need for more horses/torque, and the above figures are very respectable, she will be fast!.
Max [email protected] 9500rpm!!!! Only 500rpm before max power!!!. What will the rev limit be?

Motor Cycle News in UK state max torque @ 8250rpm est,
which sounds more reasonable.
Can we trust them though? They already had the dubious price posted, how do those figures compare with the Gixxer 1000?

I would say the official figure from Suzuki UK is more likely to be correct. Plus it ties in with the hp/torque equation...hp=(torque x rpm) / 5252
141 hp from 78 lb ft torque at 9500 rpm....close to the 143 hp listed.
got to love when those glitches happen :D
unless it wasn't a real glitch and was meant to happen with intention.
