Hi

As yet I have not ordered my bike, but a minor question.
I like to carry rainproof over trousers. Is there enough space under rear seat for this?
My old Z1000 had plenty on space - My current CBR650F has nil.

Does space increase with Solo cowl as that would be my usual setup?

There is enough space for a puncture repair kit complete with half a dozen co2 capsules so I guess you would fit a pair of waterproof trousers.

I think you might be pushing it… I don't think they would fold down enough to fit in the rear cowl????

I took the rear seat off the demo bike to see how much it had and you're looking at two or three wallet sized items or thereabouts. Spare gloves and a tire repair kit might be about it.

I have managed to get in that small space with the seat cowl in place :-
1 mini air compressor.
1 tyre plugger kit.
1 set of spanners. ( 12,10,9,8,6 mm )
1 set of long shaft ball end allen keys.
zip ties.
bottle of visor wash and a few cloths.

:):)

Hi Guys
Thanks heaps for fast comments and thanks Gromit for the pictures.
Should just work of me and I imagine the solo cowl is probably hollow so might even give more space.

Space is the same with seat or with seatcover :). They are built on the same plastic frame

The seat pad and cowl are the same underneath unlike some of the 90s bikes where you had extra space with the cowl which was also bigger, the current styling trends make the rear cowl very flat.

If you take out the toolkit, which is right at the bottom, you’d fit the trousers in, i have toolkit, puncture repair stuff and my scotoiler fitted in that space, oh almost forgot a foil blanket as well... (not sure why)
