I have been looking to get mu ECU flashed so I can get rid of this engine breaking, have my fan turn on at a lower temp as well as get the exhaust servo eliminated. Does anybody know a good place to send my ecu to? Thanks for any help you may have to offer.

Chris Moore of Moore Mafia in Greenville SC. If you're not too far, probably worth the ride to dyno. Or Karn's Performance in PA. Jason is great too.

You are right where one of my best friends and shipmates from my Navy days lives.

I used a midpipe link with a shorty angle cut. Looks great but is louder than my straight piped R1 in the mkt for full exhaust system.. I bit off more than I am willing to chew.. live and learn!

Just heard that Chris Moore (Moore Mafia in South Carolina) can remove the top speed limiter now as well. Reckon I'm gonna get a tune by him. It's about a 4 hour ride, I may just have to do that one Saturday, whenever his schedule allows.

Yea, but I know there's always something left on the table when you don't dyno tune it.

If you want to smoothest on off throttle turning the fuel cut off (injectors keep spraying) will give smoother on off throttle and reduce the engine braking. I had left on (stock setting), then sent ecu back for a tune adjustment and had Chris to the fuel cut off turned off. Much smoother on/off throttle and less engine brake. There still is engine brake, probably half of stock. I am glad I had it done.

You can flash the ECU yourself.

If I ever decide to flash the ECU then I'd go this route because of the vast number of variables that I may or may not want. You can't just decide to turn on or off fuel cutoff; it's a percentage. Same with throttle for each gear. Maybe you might not want 100% power in 1st and 2nd gear and want to roll back those changes.

I don't know if Moore ever said to leave it on. Maybe on the new bikes for some reason, but no way do you want to keep fuel cut turned on with any first gen bikes. As was stated, the fuel cut is what gives you a jerky on/off throttle combined with oem lean fueling at low RPMs. Moore Mafia tuned my bike and the fueling is perfect now. No more mid corner pucker moments due to the abrupt power delivery. A fuel tune alone cannot fix the problem. Fuel cut plays the main role in the throttle snatch. The number one comment you will hear from 2016-2020 owners who have a M Mafia tune with FC off is how smooth the bikes feels. It's night and day. If you leave it on you are cheating yourself out of a sublime throttle. That feature is there for emissions only. The result is a jerky throttle and excessive engine braking on closed throttle.
