Had new pads rotors last year at dealer. One rotor always ran hot other was much cooler Bike always seemed to have a drag if pushing. Dealer looked at it a few times. They said can’t find anything wrong. I decided to dig into it myself. Took calipers off cleaned. Pumped them out cleaned. Pushed all back by hand. Finger power. One piston wouldn’t push in. Cleaned more pushed more. Little help from a screw driver and what do ya know. Now it pumps out and pushes back with finger power. Took for ride disks both same temp not half as hot as it was and rolls free. And that was the dealers best man on the job. How could they not figure that out when installing new pads

I've got one, but never installed. How hard is it, and did you need to make any minor adjustments once installed? (Like they say you might)

I have always riveted using aluminum washers as backers, never have I used the sticky pads.
It was straight forward no fuss but you do need to remove the front wheel.

Latest change / mod - Lightech Rearset. Will need to adjust to fit me.
How do you find these rearsets?, I hate the Rear Brake Pedal ,the amount of travel is unacceptable compared to the other bikes I've ridden its just the price of rearrests seem unreasonable (of all of the mods to make rearrests at £300 - £700 is ridiculous).

LighTech makes two different sets for our bike. Their standard version and their "R" or race version. Both are pricey, but incredibly high quality. You will need to purchase their banjo style brake light switch if you want your rear brakes to continue activating your brake light.

LighTech Rearset / Footrest Kits

Webike Japan also has many different rearsets available for the GSX-S, some of which are considerably less expensive than LighTech.

I did 160 km today on the Versys 650. Felt sorry on passing a Guy on a 2016 Red and Black Suzuki GSX-S1000. Never know, might have been my old one !
He had an unmarked plain clothes Police Officer right behind him on a cleanskin Naked BMW something or other bike. Right in the beginning of the twisties going uphill.

I have no idea if he knew or not, as It's pretty hard to see the B & W checks on the white helmet while concentrating on riding on a pothole infested road.
Second time (both going opposite way to me, thank goodness), I've seen it in a month on the Mt Mee -Dayboro Rd, north of Brisbane (Qld Australia), not that one in Canada.
Hope he knew (y)

Rob.

bad feeling, my license renewal + mini car trailer + gsxs1000 = 475 dollars for 4 years.

crazy ****.

Took the bike to get a Woolich ecu flash done on it. Had the bike for just under a month now and the slow speed running and twitchy on off throttle is a tad frustrating. I'll report back on Friday when I pick it up as to the improvements. I know it's probably been covered a hundred times on here, but I hope my finding will interest someone.
