What emissions parts exist on this bike?

Hey all,

I'm going to be getting a full exhaust and a tune (either Moore Mafia or 2WDW) and I'm trying to get my head around the emissions parts that I'll be pulling off of this bike. According to the 2WDW page (2WDW 2021+ GSXS 1000/GT Mail In ECU Flash), their tune has the option to disable the following:
  • Disable Evap / Purge Valve Fault Code
  • Disable Stock O2 Sensor Fault Code (Aftermarket Exhaust Only)
  • Disable Deceleration Fuel Cut
  • Disable Exhaust Valve Fault Code (Aftermarket Exhaust Only)
  • Disable PAIR Valve / AIS (Aftermarket Exhaust Only)
So I know the GT has an exhaust valve with an actuator that I can pull out, and I know there is also a PAIR valve that you can pull out and block off the holes with plates. But is there an evap/purge valve somewhere? Or a charcoal canister or something (non-California bike)? I'm not sure I ever had an evap/purge valve on a bike, unless that's part of the PAIR system?

Side note... I read some mixed feedback on whether or not I'll still need any of the Healtech eliminators to prevent codes... I didn't think that was the case, but some here claimed it was. I plan to ask the tuners about it.

My California-original Speed Triple came with a charcoal canister, yeah, sounds like no other state had it. My GT came from Florida so I'm assuming no charcoal canister, but I haven't lifted the tank yet.

Je vais avoir un échappement complet et un réglage (soit Moore Mafia ou 2WDW) et j'essaie de comprendre les pièces d'émission que je vais retirer de ce vélo. Selon la page 2WDW ( 2WDW 2021+ GSXS 1000/GT Mail In ECU Flash ), leur réglage a la possibilité de désactiver les éléments suivants :
  • Désactiver le code d'erreur de la vanne d'évap/purge
  • Désactiver le code d'erreur du capteur O2 d'origine (échappement de rechange uniquement)
  • Désactiver la décélération de la coupure de carburant
  • Désactiver le code d'erreur de la soupape d'échappement (échappement du marché secondaire uniquement)
  • Désactiver la valve PAIR / AIS (échappement de rechange uniquement)
Je sais donc que la GT a une soupape d'échappement avec un actionneur que je peux retirer, et je sais qu'il existe également une soupape PAIR que vous pouvez retirer et bloquer les trous avec des plaques. Mais y a-t-il une vanne évap/purge quelque part ? Ou une cartouche de charbon de bois ou quelque chose (vélo non californien) ? Je ne suis pas sûr d'avoir déjà eu une valve d'évap/purge sur un vélo, à moins que cela ne fasse partie du système PAIR ?

Remarque complémentaire... J'ai lu des commentaires mitigés sur la question de savoir si j'aurai encore besoin ou non de l'un des éliminateurs Healtech pour empêcher les codes... Je ne pensais pas que c'était le cas, mais certains ici l'ont affirmé. Je prévois de demander aux tuners à ce sujet.

I have an OBD2 scanner, removing codes isn't the issue, but I thought these codes were persistent unless disabled in the tune. Either way I'm pretty sure the tune will disable them anyway.

So is #3 above the EU charcoal canister? I can see #1 is the PAIR valve and #3 is he exhaust valve.

Unless something has changed with the newer generation bikes, only the California models have charcoal canisters. As for the bikes in other countries, I can't say.

So I just spoke with Chris Moore and confirmed that you do NOT need any of the Healtech devices to prevent codes if you get him to disable the PAIR and exhaust valves via his tune.

One thing I would offer up, for something to think about....the Decel Fuel Cut. If you are currently happy with the amount of engine braking you get when rolling out of the throttle (I am on mine, as a stock bike), then you may not want to have the tuner disable that part of the tune. Personally, I love having good engine braking to go along with a good set of brakes, but everyone is different, so just something to think about before you pull the trigger on the tune.

Yeah, that's a good callout for anyone getting a tune. I personally also like the engine braking on the street, I don't like it offroad (which is why I ride a 2-stroke). I believe Chris offers both options.

The new gen bikes don't seem to suffer from a jerky on/off transition and don't need fuel cut turned off from what I can tell from comments here.

I can only speak to my 23, but the on/off throttle is butter. There were numerous times where I actually expected a jerk on throttle, and one didn't happen, I think the bike does something to control it or compensate. Just like the "hill assist" or whatever they do when coming out of a full stop, the electronics are seamless and gentle.
