Have mine geared 16/46 with a 190/55/17 rear tire and really like the combination.
Not that big of a difference in 6th. I want to say between 500-700 rpms. According to gearingcommander it's less than 300 rpms with the 190/55 rear tire if I'm reading it all correctly. I definitely like the gearing I have with the tire size I have currently.
You need to say what speed as there is a bigger difference in RPM at higher speeds

190/50 with stock gearing vs 190/55 with 16/46 is 7.79% lower gearing - so 5000rpm on stock bike would be 5390 rpm with this gearing and tyre.

and a 200/55 with 16/47 is 8.27% lower, so 5000 rpm would be 5414 rpm and 10,000 rpm would become 10,827 rpm

Gearbox gearing
Gear Gearing Ratio Difference
1 41/16 2.56
2 39/19 2.05 124.8%
3 36/21 1.71 119.7%
4 36/24 1.50 114.3%
5 34/25 1.36 110.3%
6 33/26 1.27 107.2%

So as can be seen there is a 25% decrease in rpm going from 1st to 2nd but only 7% decrease from 5th to 6th. So the changes above (190/55 and 16/46 or 200/55 and 16/47) effectively means that on the highway its like riding in 5th instead of 6th

I would love to increase the 6th gear ratio alone but I think that would be very unlikely and hugely expensive, unless the gsx-r 750 internals fit as that has a 15% bigger spread in the ratios

17 front and 47 rear with a 55 profile diablo rosso 3 tire witch roughly takes away 1,5 tooth on the rear. At the same time shortening the wheelbase around 2cm.

Stock chain is definitely 525, look at this video for how to measure a chain

Thnx!
Measured, and yes it is 525. Also stamped on rear sprocket and chain.
Ill have to return and get a new.

Going for 16/45 on standard tire.
Or maybe 16/46 but that might be to high rpm on 90-110 km/h highway?

It wasn't a big improvement but it did shorten the wheelbase which was my intention to begin with. Bike still has more getty up than with stock gearing.
id be interested in that gearing when the time comes...seems its the smallest change to gearing you can make...dont effect rpm that much with a 55 and you gain some getty up.......so roads you usually ride or cruse on your still using same gear you did before im guess a 2000 rpm higher the stock.....that dont sound like much but i know over a riding range it can make a difference

I wish our bike came with a cassette style tranny. Changing the gearset would be THE mod to make to our bikes. Power is awesome stock, a wider ratio tranny would let us have more acceleration in the lower gears and have taller gearing for 5th and 6th for more relaxed cruising.

You can still use the stock gears for the track if the swap is easy.
