Where did you ride today?

I did 205 miles today through West Utah mountains and desert.
Today's route was Utah 201 west to I-80 west. SR 138 to Grantsville, Mormon Trail to SR 199. SR199 west over Johnson's Pass, with some nice twisties and beautiful tarmac. I took SR199 to Dugway, then headed north and looped back to Johnson's Pass on the old Lincoln Highway. As I headed back towards SLC, I could see some thunderstorms up ahead so I filled my tank in Tooele, did a 180 and headed south on SR 73. made it back without getting hit by a drop of water, but my bike was a mess because all the roads in the Salt Lake valley were soaked from the storm that had just passed. My wife said she was worried sick because it was really high wind, lightening, hail, and tons of rain. Glad I missed it.

While out in the middle of nowhere I hit a top speed of 141, I very quickly came up on some rolling terrain that made me back off because I didn't have enough view of the road ahead. That's the fastest I've gone on a bike, and the bike had plenty of stuff left. I'll have to admit... that was freaky. FREAKY FUN!!!

The bike was just amazing. Freeway, twisties, backroads... It just does everything so well.

Hit up the Tail of the Dragon and surrounding areas this past Fourth of July weekend. First time through the TOD I beat the rain by about 3 min. Had so much fun I went back the next day to do it again. Beautiful country out there for sure.

My dad lives about 8 miles from the Tellico Plains end of the Cherahola Skyway. Needless to say that I will be visiting him much more frequently.

Fortunately, no, and I'm glad I didn't. That guy is bad news. He may have been there, idk.

I only had one bike run up behind me, but was very respectful. CBR1000R (I think.) They were actually 2 up and ran very fast. I pulled over quick for them. Seemed to be very experienced rider and pillion. Pillion was riding no or one handed a lot and dragging gloves quite a bit. I had to push it to keep up with them.

But no, **** Max Risk.... I was glad not to see that fool.

He's going to kill someone that's for sure.
As for the dude riding 2 up that there is some really dumb stuff as well.
I used to know a dude back in the 70s who crashed with his best mate on the back his mate died.
That fella couldn't forgive himself and when ever he drank he would always go into a death spiral crying and just go nuts it was really sad.
These dudes don't think of the consequences.
Wow you guys sound really negative about this max wrist fella, ive seen a few of his vids....nothing particularly dangerous in what i saw him doing, did he make some earlier hectic racing to the limit vids or what ?

I wasn't familiar either. Quick Google scan looks like he drives like an animal, and may have gone or is going to jail for some kind of next level child abuse 🤔

I would put him on the upper end of dangerous riding on the street but at least he stays away from vehicles on the highway. There's one video where he dorked another rider's front wheel on a non-ABS equipped bike. With a bike with performance ABS! Who does that?

I don't know if he has track experience, but that is the equivalent of passing someone on the outside then pointing your bike towards the apex while full on the brakes, thereby almost guaranteeing a collision. It's just not done, or at least I have never ever seen that done either on the street or on track days.
