I was told of a price increase in September as for price discrepancy that will be down to the individual dealer some might have pre registered them others can afford to take a hit in commission if they are doing well (the more they sell the more they order and that becomes a bit cheaper) my dealer however had literally just changed from Honda to Suzuki and as a result they are a little bit green with regards to pricing and parts but yeah I take your point on how well some have done with regards to price and extras.

Like ackack says, the dealers buy from Suzuki at one price and sell at the Suziuki recommended retail price. Where they actually sell is up to them and how much they are prepared to make on the deal. Certainly car dealers get discounts for meeting targets which gives the dealers more room for movement, I don't see why it would be any different for bike dealers.

Personally I've never paid RRP for any new vehicle, or the asking price for any used one. I believe there is always room for negotiation, but if the dealer thinks they can sell the bike at RRP to the guy in the queue behind you, don't expect it to be easy!
