Mmmmm, no idea really, cutout switch, fuel filter clogged, tank breather pipe trapped?
Did you hear the fuel pump prime when switching ignition on?

Sounds like the battery might be on it's way out. How old is it and do you keep it on a battery conditioner?
Older or tired batteries often can't give out optimal power when they have just come off a charge cycle (like riding to work or after a run). Once they have cooled down they start to work again as they should.
It might not be but its an easy place to start. Other starting problems have been traced to clogged fuel filters or fuel pump

The entire bike is only 2 1/2 months old ,so the batt might just be the easiest place to start.have to wait till Friday morn nz time when bike goes on the workshop bench.

Thanks everyone for what I should look at,hopefully its something fairly easy to diagnose and fix.ie:battery replacement, fuel filter and such like.

For what it’s worth, if it won’t start try opening the fuel cap momentarily , then try again. I’ve heard of this occasionally working due to a fuel lock.

I had the same problem and it turned out to be one dud spark plug; you have to change th em every 12000km, and if one is underperforming te ecu stops the bike functioning

What Was the mileage when you changed the spark plugs? Iridium should certainly last longer than regular plugs, and even though Suzuki say to change them every 12000 km, it still seems too soon for a well running engine.
