Yamaha going in the right direction but just not quite there yet for me. I think Suzuki with the GSXS put a lot more thought into the small points like keeping things nice and tidy, no loose cables or massive gaps at the front. Not keen on the transformer looking headlight cluster either, I also think they will regret putting the oil cooler way down there, just asking to be cracked by stones thrown up by the front wheel, the purists won't like the older style up swept silencer and certainly not when it is fixed to the rear foot peg. : - )

I am sure older R1 riders will have brand loyalty and go for it but I for one wouldn't be giving it envious glances if it pulled up next to my GSXS at the lights.

Just saying : - )

Just when I thought I was close to making a decision this comes along.
Certainly will be worth a look with these specs, but am I patient enough to want to wait to find out.
And it is interesting styling to say the least.

I'm sure you'll find something wrong with it.... like the tyres aren't round enough or something.

About ****ing time, Yamaha. I was mighty close to buying the last Fz1 but the peaky motor isn't quite my thing. I might be riding one of these had it come out 6 months ago. That cross plane motor is bike porn through and through.

Im sure they put a lot of effort in it but to be able to drive the bike only on halloween its not enought. From side look it has something from street triple on stereoids. looooll
However it would perfect bike for this man. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4sXXIxWCYT0

It'll be interesting to see what the pricing is like once it makes it to the US.

It's better looking than the GSXS by some margin and is likely sporting higher quality components. However, if the price isn't right I think the GSXS might still be a winner. Only time will tell.

But I don't understand a thing...Is it the same 4L R1 "big bang" or regular?

For me headlight is very ugly but I need a road test to say something about all the bike
