5 horsepower gain from a full system and even loses power with the supplied baffle. That's pretty sad.

It looks nice, but I think that's all you get for your money.

I agree. I called Yoshimura USA. They will get back to me with price and availability tomorrow.

The dyno results i am guessing are without any fuel/air modification in which i think would be very wise to do and then it would be interested to see the dyno results as i am guessing more like 7-8 hp with better looks and sound so it would be a good investment so long as they are not too expensive after seeing what they are charging just for an end can.
Do we need new headers though, what difference is there and it would be nice just to cut before the cat and valve and put a link pipe on through to a nice sounding can therefore not paying for what we don not need.

When buying aftermarked exhaust and doing remap it is easy to forget that most engines will respond well to remap with the stock exhaust.
So in the end you may end up paying much for next to nothing regarding increase of power.

Good point.
I cannot see much difference between stock and for example the Arrows headers from the picture comparing the stock vs Arrow in another thread. If the Yoshi headers are the same in diameter/build I would guess they do not mean much, if any, for increase of power.
Headers may give a good increase depending on design and if the motor was restricted in the first place.
This is not the case for the GSXS I think.
When you check the picturess comparing the Arrow "full system" vs OEM it seems like the link-pipe is acutallly *more* restrictive than the pipe containing the cat and the big (not restrictive) pot. The Yoshi systems seems also very "thin" regarding the diameter of the link-pipe.
Please do not forget that the cat is not that restrictive as many tend to think.
For an "all-out" race-prepped bike where every gram and HP is important that's another story.

When I read the info it seems that the system comes with a db-killer (green curve). The increase removing this is almost neglible (which is the case for most non restrictive exhaust for a given engine). But you can choose an *optional* db-killer that really muffles the sound, but also reduses the power output from stock exhaust (pink curve)

I agree with you bking where the cat isn't fully restricting and the big ugly muffler box that I want to get rid off isn't fully restricting but between the two take them away and it would be much more free flowing but obviously it would be way too loud, I really like the look of the stock can but I would like a much deeper tone and I think I could only get that with free flowing with a good end can, my other option I may look at later is removing the cat and big ugly box and replacing them with a nicer small round muffler either purchased or I may fabricate my own and leaving the end can in place but it would be experimental and risky

Some random thoughts:

M4 full system is rated to give like 8 HP peak but they put stock at 136HP. Seems convenient. Nice looking budget system.
$900

Ixil full system has no numbers of any kind. So essentially no gain except in looks and sound. It does have a catalyst though. Cheapest by far.
$800

Yoshi full system has a big mid range jump but peak is a bit disappointing. I will bet Yoshi's build quality is way up there.
Guessing like $1300.

Full Arrow has no info yet. Excellent quality.
$1200

Full Akra has no info yet. Most likely the highest build quality.
Guessing $1500 at least.

Email from Performance Parts:

These exhausts can now be pre-ordered. Stock may be 4-8 weeks away though.
Price start at £1223-£1346 depending on muffler preference, and they will be advertised on our website within the next few days.

Spoke to Yoshi again. They want 1/2 down now and half at ship with NO returns. Yikes. I am going Arrow header and stock can for now. Yoshi muffer if that is too loud.
