I already have a pile of accessories waitnig for my new GX. They are just laying in the corner of my living room, waiting...

Here is the list:
  • 30mm handlebars risers
  • Givi windscreen (the biggest one, clear)
  • Givi crash bars
  • Chain guard
  • Rear fender (from GT)
  • TFT Screen protector
  • Front fender extender
  • Denali Dial Dim
  • Pair of auxilary lights
  • Brackets to mount the lights on the crashbars
  • CNC clutch and brake levers
  • Side stand foot
  • Pro Brake braided brake hoses, 30mm longer (in case I need it because of rised handlebars)
  • GPS bracket to mount behind windshield (AliExpress)
  • Paddock stand
  • Tank gel decals
  • Brake light harness for top case from Eastern Beaver
  • Swingarm bobbins
  • Givi Monolock topcase plate (GX specific)
  • Givi flange mount for tank bag
  • Radiator protector
  • Pair of BMW car horns and relay
And still, I will remove from my BMW R1250GS the universal windshield spoiler MRA that served me very well, just in case I need it on GX.
I will trade in my GS when I go to pick up new GX.
I will not take the bike with OEM tires because Suzuki dealer (a friend of mine) told me if I was thinking of better tires he can sell the tires removed from GX for very good price if thay had zero miles. So, Bridgestone Battlax T32 will be ordered or T33 if they're available at that point.

Counting days to get a new GX. I will place the order sometimes mid January so will probably get it late February or early March.

Just added to the pile (no bike yet):
  • Chigee AIO-5 Lite
  • Evotech bracket (I already had AliExpress one but that one mounts only on two screws and Evotech on four)

One interesting thing happened:
I ordered Chigee AIO-5 Play from the Chigee dealer here in Portugal, paid online for it and received the confirmation by email. The next day, they phoned me and said they're out of Play version and have only Lite version in stock.
The Lite version is almost double the price, so I thought I'd cancel the order. Didn't want them to talk me into spending more money for the Lite version that I don't really need. But before I could say anything, the nice lady on the other side said she apologize and they'll upgrade my order to Lite version free of charge.
What a nice people. They won me as a client forever!

I've decided to purchase Chigee as I've spent a lot of time reading about MySpin and decided it's not for me. One thing that put me off is that you need to keep your phone unlocked all the time. I simply don't feel changing the settings on my phone before and after every ride and I don't feel confortable keeping my phone unlocked all the time.

So, I opened the box with the brake lines. On the package, there was hand written "+2cm". I ordered +3cm but thought, not a big deal, it will probably work.
Then I measured the front brake line the way you measured it and it is 38cm. So, mine is short as well. It's supposed to be 42cm.
I will write the mail now and ask them to fix the error.

My delivery has been delayed, a lot. At this point ETA is only at the end of June.
I was trying to place the order at the beginning of January and the electronic system at the dealer was refusing the order for the black model. So, I kept going there once a week and finally, only at the end of February their system started accepting orders for the black model. So, we placed the order and in their system it came out with the delivery at the end of June.
So, I will see if it changes.

Well, delivery date for my new black GX keeps on going backward and forward. During the last month it was scheduled for week 23, which is right now. Now it's gone to week 26.
I've never waited so long for a bike. My BMW GS was sold mid April and since then I'm not riding.

Installed today the top case with Givi support. Had to remove rear carrier to install supporting tubes for the box.
Also installed Grip Puppies, Givi touring windshield.
Installed rear mudguard (a model for GT) but had to cut the piece of it to fit.
Installed lowered pegs (SW Motech).
Installed the mount for Chigee AIO-5 but it was getting late so connections left for tomorrow.
Installed tank lock horse shoe for my Givi tank bag.
The bike came from the dealer with Bridgestone T33 tyres.
Still a lot to do, so will go on tomorrow.

Day 2 of installations. Just stopped to have some lunch and will keep on working after an hour or two.
  • Chigee AIO-5 is installed and fully operational, with TPMS, two cameras and GPS.
  • Garage remote connected to High Beam. I have this system for many years and on many bikes. The garage remote has the button bridged and 12V battery is removed. So, I use 12V from High Beam to power on the remote and as the button is bridged, when I push the High Beam switch, my garage opens. In case somebody needs to use High Beam feed wire, it's under the right panel, gray connector, orange wire.
  • Lowered shift and brake pedals as I installed lower foot pegs yestarday. Had to adjust the brake light switch as the pedal was lowered.
  • Connected brake light on my topbox to the rear light connector, using Eastern Beaver plug and play harness adapter.

Now I have a problem (or not?). I have FI warning on the dash. I disconnected everything of the extras I installed but the FI is still on. Disconnected the battery and reconnected, it's still on.
Right now, the only thing I can think of is that I still have right panel removed, so right indicator is disconnected. Will see when I reconnect it.

Extended test for wind protection done this morning. Givi tall screen made my ride much quieter but I have bad buffeting starting from 120 km/h. For the afternoon test. I'll put on the MRA spoiler to see if there was any difference. Next step will be tilting the screen towards me by inserting some spacers on lower bolts.
My previous bike, BMW GS, took 3 screens and 2 spoilers, tilted towards me, to reach completely buffeting-free ride. WIll see how it goes on this bike.
Tyres are great, huge confidence with them (Bridgestone T33). Some swaying on 160 km/h but nothing significant. May be because of big windscreen and top box.

  • The windscreen is "Givi D3128ST "
  • The spoiler is "MRA VSA-TYP B"

The spoiler comes with two types of mounting brackets. One pair is clip-on, the other pair is drill-in. So, if you just want to test it, you use clip-on pair and don't drill your screen. That is the way I installed it on my BMW GS back in 2021. I liked the performance and thought I'd drill the screen for permanent installation. But, I never did. I rode the bike with clip-on brackets until I sold it few months ago. Before selling the GS, I removed the spoiler.
Then I used the same spoiler on my GX, again, with just clip-on brackets. They're very strong.

Just tilted the screen and got even further improvement. 10mm spacers on the top screws and 30mm spacers on the lower screws (longer bolts installed, of course). So, the screen is a bit away and tilted towards me.
One of these days I'm going to remove handguards, as people here say there was a big improvement in wind management with them removed. Just to see...
