Installed today the top case with Givi support. Had to remove rear carrier to install supporting tubes for the box.
Also installed Grip Puppies, Givi touring windshield.
Installed rear mudguard (a model for GT) but had to cut the piece of it to fit.
Installed lowered pegs (SW Motech).
Installed the mount for Chigee AIO-5 but it was getting late so connections left for tomorrow.
Installed tank lock horse shoe for my Givi tank bag.
The bike came from the dealer with Bridgestone T33 tyres.
Still a lot to do, so will go on tomorrow.

Day 2 of installations. Just stopped to have some lunch and will keep on working after an hour or two.
  • Chigee AIO-5 is installed and fully operational, with TPMS, two cameras and GPS.
  • Garage remote connected to High Beam. I have this system for many years and on many bikes. The garage remote has the button bridged and 12V battery is removed. So, I use 12V from High Beam to power on the remote and as the button is bridged, when I push the High Beam switch, my garage opens. In case somebody needs to use High Beam feed wire, it's under the right panel, gray connector, orange wire.
  • Lowered shift and brake pedals as I installed lower foot pegs yestarday. Had to adjust the brake light switch as the pedal was lowered.
  • Connected brake light on my topbox to the rear light connector, using Eastern Beaver plug and play harness adapter.

Now I have a problem (or not?). I have FI warning on the dash. I disconnected everything of the extras I installed but the FI is still on. Disconnected the battery and reconnected, it's still on.
Right now, the only thing I can think of is that I still have right panel removed, so right indicator is disconnected. Will see when I reconnect it.

Extended test for wind protection done this morning. Givi tall screen made my ride much quieter but I have bad buffeting starting from 120 km/h. For the afternoon test. I'll put on the MRA spoiler to see if there was any difference. Next step will be tilting the screen towards me by inserting some spacers on lower bolts.
My previous bike, BMW GS, took 3 screens and 2 spoilers, tilted towards me, to reach completely buffeting-free ride. WIll see how it goes on this bike.
Tyres are great, huge confidence with them (Bridgestone T33). Some swaying on 160 km/h but nothing significant. May be because of big windscreen and top box.

I am getting my T33's installed tomorrow. Glad to hear you like them.

  • The windscreen is "Givi D3128ST "
  • The spoiler is "MRA VSA-TYP B"

The spoiler comes with two types of mounting brackets. One pair is clip-on, the other pair is drill-in. So, if you just want to test it, you use clip-on pair and don't drill your screen. That is the way I installed it on my BMW GS back in 2021. I liked the performance and thought I'd drill the screen for permanent installation. But, I never did. I rode the bike with clip-on brackets until I sold it few months ago. Before selling the GS, I removed the spoiler.
Then I used the same spoiler on my GX, again, with just clip-on brackets. They're very strong.

Just tilted the screen and got even further improvement. 10mm spacers on the top screws and 30mm spacers on the lower screws (longer bolts installed, of course). So, the screen is a bit away and tilted towards me.
One of these days I'm going to remove handguards, as people here say there was a big improvement in wind management with them removed. Just to see...
